Internal Job Title: ICT Software Engineer/ Developer Programmer

Nominated Position – Developer Programmer (ANZSCO – ******)

Position Description

Aim of the role:

The role aims to contribute to the growth and success of ARKA Consulting Pty Ltd by designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining codes for software applications tailored to meet the business and technical needs of clients. The position requires strong expertise in ERP systems, integration, and end-user support, aligning with the organization's focus on innovative software solutions.

Main duties of the role:

·Work with the clients to gather and analyze requirements to ensure software solutions align with business strategy and goals.

·Perform top down and bottom-up impact analysis, including estimation, based on business requirements

·Create and integrate using REST concepts using Springs, JAX-RS, CDI to facilitate seamless interaction between the front-end and back-end as well as third party services.

·Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level software solutions focusing on scalability, reliability and performance.

·Customize existing applications and develop new functionalities using ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Business Central, AL, C/AL, and other relevant coding languages.

·Perform full-cycle software development implementation, including data migration, configuration, testing, and deployment.

·Providing estimation for cost and resources required for the development of software solution

·Interpret technical specifications and convert them into high functioning code in the appropriate language for the implementation and integration of various software.

·Write, maintain, and modify code that meets system requirements, system designs, technical specifications and coding standards and execute

·Perform troubleshooting issues using various logging/monitoring tools

·Participate in code reviews and follow best practices for development software.

·Analyze and document functional and technical requirements, conducting gap analysis and prototype development as needed.

·Provide training to end-users, department heads, and executives on ERP systems, workflows, and new functionalities.

·Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure the software meets business needs, incorporating feedback to enhance system functionality and user experience.





·Optimize system performance through application code troubleshooting, database tuning, and Azure environment monitoring.

·Prepare and maintain technical and functional documents, including Functional Requirements Documents (FRD), test scripts, and process flow diagrams.

·Develop data-driven reports and dashboards using SQL and Power BI to support decision-making and business operations.

·Support everyday ERP system operations, resolving issues, and providing post-implementation assistance.

·Monitor and enhance the performance and reliability of software systems, ensuring scalability and compliance with industry standards.

·Stay updated on emerging software engineering practices, tools, and technologies to implement innovative solutions for continuous improvement.

·Collaborate with business and technical teams to design, implement, and document system solutions and integrations.

·Ensure compliance with industry best practices and company standards in all software development and system implementation activities.

·Provide post-implementation support, troubleshooting software issues, and addressing performance concerns to maintain reliability.

Hours of work:

This is a full-time role where the incumbent will be expected to work at least 38 hours per week.

Qualification:

· A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information technology or a related field.

· Relevant certifications in ERP systems or software development will be advantageous.

Experience:

· At least 5 years of work experience in a similar role.

. Guidewire Ace Certified - Senior Developer with minimum of 5 years of experience in to Guidewire Configuration, Integration, Version Upgrade, Enhancements and Maintenance Supports of Guidewire Suites.

 Extensive experience in core areas of JAVA, Guidewire Integrations like RPCE/WSI Webservices, RESTFUL, Webservices, Batch Processes, Messaging, Document management systems, Plugins, GX models, etc.

 Extensive experience in all core areas of Gudiewire configurations like Data Models, PCF Configurations, Gosu

Rules, GScripts, GUnits, etc.





 Holding robust experience on version upgrading and post upgrade activities of V8/9 to V10 upgrades along with v9 to Cloud Migration

 Holding strong experience and knowledge on multiple Insurance domains like P&C Insurance, Mortgage Insurance, Life Insurance and Farmers Insurance for AU, NZ & US region-based insurers. Holding strong experience in Agile, Waterfall & hybrid methodologies.

 Experience in GIT tools like SourceTree & Bitbucket

 Experience in Atlassian tools like JIRA & Confluence.

 Experience in Hudson, Jenkins & Dev Azure CI and CD tools.

 Strong practitioner of a full stack development model with different technologies needed to be incorporated for

the definite needs.

 Work experience in Application Development using Guidewire BillingCenter & Integration.

 working knowledge in Guidewire Billing Center along with latest Guidewire Cloud

Integration Implementation.

 Extensive GW Implementation Proficiency and Experience in GW BillingCenter Development (CI Process, Disbursements, Invoicing Lifecycle, Activities, Payments, Unapplied Funds, Batches etc.)

 Experience on GW integration frameworks including Web Services (SOAP/Restful), Messaging, Batch Processes, Integration Gateway, AppEvents, Cloud APIs etc.

· Expertise in back-end application development using languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript (Node JS)

· Proven track record in AL coding, system integration, and database management.

· Hands-on experience with tools like SQL, Power BI, and Azure Logic Apps.

· Strong knowledge of web services, integration protocols, and performance optimization techniques.

· Strong understanding of security best practices in application development

Other Essential Skills:

1. Experience with SAS, SSIS, Power BI, and Synapse
2. Strong background in data analytics, warehousing, and reporting
3. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
4. Ability to present technical concepts to diverse audiences
5. Relevant degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or similar
6. 5+ years of experience with Microsoft data platforms
7. 2+ years of Power BI experience (including DAX)
8. Strong SQL expertise (5+ years)
9. Experience in data analysis, data mining, predictive modeling, and visualization
10. Strong data quality, storytelling, and governance skills
11. Detail-oriented, proactive, and quality-focused
12. Ability to work independently
