H.I Plant Services is seeking an experienced 50T Float Driver to become part of our growing team. If you're an experienced heavy haulage operator who takes pride in secure, professional work and enjoys variety in your day, this could be the role for you.
Working across Perth, regional Western Australia and mine sites, you'll be responsible for the safe transportation of heavy machinery while representing our business to the highest standard.
What You'll Be Doing
As a key member of our transport team, you'll be responsible for:
- Safely transporting heavy machinery using 50T floats
- Loading, securing and unloading a variety of heavy equipment
- Completing transport paperwork and delivery documentation accurately
- Conducting pre-start inspections and reporting any maintenance issues
- Ensuring all transport activities comply with road transport and safety regulations
- Providing professional service when dealing with customers and site personnel
- Working across metropolitan, regional and mine site locations as required
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- HC or MC Unrestricted Driver's Licence (MC preferred)
- Proven experience operating a 50T float and transporting oversize loads
- Experience safely loading and unloading heavy machinery
- Strong understanding of load restraint and transport safety requirements
- Confidence completing transport paperwork and dockets
- Mechanical knowledge (highly regarded)
- A reliable work ethic and commitment to safe work practices
- Professional communication skills and a positive attitude
