WA Fuels is seeking an experienced and motivated HR & HSE Advisor to join our team. This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys variety—combining hands-on human resources support with health and safety, environment, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Working closely with our general manager, supervisors, and operational teams, you will play a key role in supporting our people, strengthening our safety culture, and ensuring our systems and processes continue to grow with the business.

This role would suit someone who enjoys being visible in the workplace—building relationships, coaching leaders, supporting employees, and driving practical solutions.

About the Role

No two days will look the same.

You will provide support and advice across all areas of Human Resources and HSE, including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, training, injury management, safety initiatives, compliance, risk management and continuous improvement.

You will be the connection point between our people, our systems, and our operations.

Key Responsibilities People & Culture

- Provide HR advice and support to managers, supervisors, and employees.
- Support and coach leaders in performance management, employee relations, workplace matters, and conflict resolution.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment, including advertising, interviewing, onboarding, and employee documentation.
- Prepare and maintain employment contracts, position descriptions,



and HR records.
- Support employee engagement, recognition initiatives, and workplace culture.
- Assist with development, review, and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and processes.
- Coordinate onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle activities.
- Support workplace investigations and disciplinary processes.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant employment legislation and HR best practices.

Health, Safety & Environment

- Promote a positive safety culture across all areas of the business.
- Support implementation and ongoing improvement of the Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Conduct incident and near-miss investigations, identifying corrective actions.
- Support development and review of SWMS, procedures, and safety documentation.
- Conduct workplace inspections and support operational safety improvements.
- Coordinate emergency response activities and safety initiatives.
- Support compliance with legislation, standards, and company requirements.

Training & Compliance

- Coordinate employee training requirements.
- Maintain training records and competency registers.
- Coordinate inductions and internal training.
- Identify training gaps and support employee development.

About You





You are someone who enjoys working with people but is also confident being out in the operation, understanding the work being performed.

You will bring:

- Previous experience in a HR Advisor, People & Culture, HSE advisor, or similar role
- Understanding of Australian employment legislation and HR processes
- Experience supporting workplace investigations and employee matters
- Knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management and safety systems
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels
- High attention to detail with strong documentation skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Current Australian driver’s licence

Highly regarded:

- Certificate IV WHS or equivalent safety qualification
- HR qualification or relevant industry experience
- Experience with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, or ISO 9001 systems
- Transport, logistics, mining, fuel or heavy industry experience
