About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a large, complex organisation undergoing significant transformation across its people, payroll and business systems landscape. Due to several key initiatives and ongoing change programs, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced People Systems Lead to drive the successful delivery of projects spanning HR systems, payroll systems, workforce management, compliance and employee experience.

This role will sit at the intersection of people, technology and operations, working closely with stakeholders across HR, Payroll, Technology and the wider business to deliver impactful outcomes. You will play a key role in coordinating system enhancements, legislative changes, business transitions, testing activities, employee migrations and process improvements while ensuring governance, compliance and operational readiness are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the delivery of people systems projects across HR, payroll, workforce management and related technologies;
- Coordinate legislative, compliance and business-driven change initiatives impacting people and payroll processes;
- Develop and manage project plans, milestones, risks, dependencies, governance forums and stakeholder communication;
- Partner with business leaders, system specialists, payroll teams and technology stakeholders to deliver projects successfully;
- Oversee testing activities, defect management, release readiness and implementation planning;
- Support employee migration and business transition initiatives, including acquisitions, integrations and workforce transfers;
- Drive continuous improvement opportunities across systems, processes and project delivery frameworks;




- Ensure smooth operational handover following project completion;
- Facilitate decision-making and alignment across multiple stakeholder groups with competing priorities; and
- Contribute to strategic planning, project prioritisation and roadmap development.

What We're Looking For

- Proven experience leading or coordinating HR, payroll or people systems projects within a large and complex environment;
- Strong understanding of HRIS, payroll systems, workforce management solutions or related enterprise platforms;
- Experience managing end-to-end project delivery, including requirements gathering, testing, change management and implementation;
- Exposure to payroll compliance, awards, enterprise agreements, superannuation, legislative change or workforce-related programs;
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders across business and technology functions;
- Strong project governance capability, including risk management, decision tracking, dependency management and reporting;
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills;
- Ability to remain organised and effective while managing multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities;
- Experience working on system migrations, integrations, transformations or large-scale business change programs will be highly regarded; and
- Relevant qualifications in Project Management, Human Resources, Information Systems,



Business or a related discipline are desirable.
