East Pilbara Maintenance (EPM) is a family-owned and operated maintenance business based in Newman, and we’re looking for a qualified Carpenter to join our team on a full-time, permanent FIFO basis.

This is a long-term role offering steady work, variety, proper accommodation and a supportive team environment, not camp living or short-term contracts.

East Pilbara Maintenance is a locally based, multi-trade maintenance company delivering residential and commercial services throughout Newman.

We support local housing, facilities and businesses with practical, hands-on maintenance work. Our team is made up of experienced tradespeople who value quality workmanship, reliability and looking after one another on site.

The role

You’ll be part of our Newman-based maintenance crew, delivering a mix of residential and commercial carpentry and general maintenance work.

Your day-to-day will include:

- Residential and commercial maintenance carpentry

- Framing, fixing, repairs, doors, windows, decking and fit-outs

- General maintenance tasks such as patching, fencing, minor repairs and painting

- Diagnosing issues on site and providing practical, cost-effective solutions

- Working autonomously across scheduled maintenance jobs

- Managing job tasks, photos and close-outs using ServiceM8

This is ongoing maintenance work — not shutdowns or repetitive project cycles.





Roster, location & accommodation

Roster: FIFO 2 weeks on / 1 week off

Hours: 12-hour days (6:00 am – 6:00 pm)

Location: Newman & Surrounds

Employment: Full-time, permanent

Accommodation: Company-owned shared housing - with swimming pool!

Remuneration

- Salary is structured to meet or exceed minimum Award entitlements for the rostered hours worked

- Paid as a permanent employee with leave entitlements

What we’re looking for

We’re after a capable, reliable carpenter who is comfortable working independently and representing a small business professionally.

Essential:

- Trade qualification as a Carpenter / Cabinet Maker / Joiner (or equivalent)

- Strong all-round maintenance experience

- White Card

- Manual C-Class driver’s licence (held for at least 1 year)

- Good problem-solving skills and a practical, hands-on approach

- Comfortable using digital job management tools (Service M8, training provided)

Desirable (but not essential):

- Forklift ticket or other HRWL

- EWP or additional tickets

- Previous experience using ServiceM8
