Total Tank Services is seeking a Graduate Project Engineer to join our high-performing team. This role supports the safe, efficient, and successful delivery of TTS projects under the guidance of experienced Project Engineers/Technical Officers and Project Managers. This role provides structured development across the project lifecycle, including planning, engineering support, execution, commercial management, and project closeout.
The Graduate Project Engineer assists with project, technical documentation, scheduling, cost tracking, procurement activities, and stakeholder engagement while developing practical engineering judgement within TTS’s operational workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the quoting, planning, coordination, and delivery of maintenance projects, installations, and capital works.
- Support the preparation of project documentation, including scopes of work, methodologies, schedules, work packs, and technical reports.
- Monitor project progress, costs, and schedules, and assist with project reporting and forecasting.
- Provide engineering support by interpreting drawings, specifications, and client requirements, and assisting with technical queries and issue resolution.
- Support procurement activities, including supplier engagement, quotation reviews, and material coordination.
- Support inhouse equipment repairs, maintenance and compliance requirements.
- Participate in quality inspections, QA/QC activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives to support project delivery.
- Contribute to a safe working environment by participating in risk assessments, safety reviews, and compliance activities.
- Participate in structured learning and mentoring programs to develop project engineering, commercial, and technical competencies.
Skills & Qualifications:
Essential:
- Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical or related field) or working towards completion.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with excellent attention to detail, including managing competing priorities in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.
- Proactive attitude and the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Readiness to work on site scopes.
- Current Driver's License.
Desirable:
- AutoCAD / Engineering Software Experience.
- Exposure to reliability, maintenance, or asset management.
- Fixed plant or OEM equipment exposure.
- Mining, resources, or heavy industry exposure.
- Data analysis or engineering reporting.
