Position objectives
The Customer Service & Library Officer has a strong focus on delivering high quality and consistent customer service to the local community, library members and members of the public.
Key requirements of the position (not limited to these) include:
- Providing outstanding customer service to residents and visitors, including answering enquiries, processing payments, and assisting with council services
- Assisting with day-to-day operations in the library
- Performing a range of administrative duties such as data entry, filing, and managing records
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in any or all of the following areas, customer service, administration or finance, preferably in a local government or public sector environment
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide excellent customer service
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Sharepoint) and other IT systems
- Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work as part of a team
