We are seeking Fleet Maintenance Officers to maintain, service and repair Ambulance Victoria vehicles and associated equipment to maximise fleet reliability, performance and operational availability. These are full time, fixed term positions (until April 2027 & July 2027) currently based at Ballarat however at times there may be a requirement to work at other AV sites in Victoria.

About the role

Reporting to the Fleet Maintenance Coordinator, responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

- Generate and maintain records using the Fleet Management Information System (FMIS)
- Plan and allocate repair and service requirements within the AV workshop to ensure availability of vehicles
- Provide input into procedures relating to vehicle maintenance as required
- Ensure vehicles are maintained to AV service standards
- Fit communication equipment such radios/telephones and accessories and provide base level repair for that equipment

About you

To be considered for this position, you will possess:

- A trade qualification as a Motor Mechanic, with experience working on diesel-powered vehicles (highly desirable)




- A minimum of two years' post-qualification experience (highly desirable)
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team to ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently
- A current Victorian Driver Licence
