As Zenith continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Commercial and Procurement Manager to lead the commercial, procurement and contract activities supporting our growing portfolio of renewable hybrid energy projects.

About the Role

As part of Zenith’s Project delivery team, you will be accountable for the contracts and procurement activities across our portfolio of capital projects.

Reporting to the General Manager – Project Delivery, you will work closely with project managers and project controls, with support from the Corporate Legal team, to support effective project execution, manage commercial and contractual risk, and achieve strong supplier and contractor outcomes.

You will also lead and develop a small contracts and procurement team and strengthen the systems, frameworks and governance that support consistent project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the commercial, procurement and contract management activities across Zenith’s project delivery portfolio.
- Negotiate, execute and administer supplier, consultant and contractor agreements.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for project goods, services and construction contractors.
- Provide commercial and contractual advice on obligations, claims, variations, extensions of time,



disputes and risk management.
- Monitor project commercial performance, including budgets, commitments, claims, variations and forecast outcomes.
- Manage supplier and contractor performance, commercial outcomes and value for money.
- Identify and manage commercial and contractual risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Partner with project managers and project controls to support project planning, governance and delivery.
- Lead and develop the Commercial and Procurement team.
- Strengthen project commercial frameworks, systems, controls and governance.

About You

You will be an experienced commercial, procurement or contracts manager with a strong understanding of complex project delivery environments. You will likely have worked for a construction contractor, EPC contractor or project delivery services provider, with direct exposure to the commercial management of major projects through construction and delivery.

You will bring:

- At least five years’ experience in commercial, procurement, contracts or project commercial management, ideally supporting major projects valued over $100 million
- Strong knowledge of complex contracts, variations, claims,



supplier agreements and commercial risk management.
- Previous experience leading or mentoring a small team
- Demonstrated strong commercial, analytical and financial capability.
- Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and communication skills.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in commerce, business, supply chain, law, engineering, quantity surveying or a related discipline.
