Our client is a leading Civil Infrastructure specialist with an established presence across the Eastern Coast of Australia. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior HSE Advisor to join their team and play a key role in supporting multiple projects across Sydney.

About the Role:

Reporting into the HSE leadership team, the Senior HSE Advisor will be responsible for driving a proactive safety culture across a portfolio of civil construction projects.

This is an chance for an experienced safety professional who enjoys being site-based, building strong relationships with project teams, and providing practical HSE guidance to ensure compliance, continuous improvement, and safe project delivery.

You will work closely with site leaders, subcontractors, and key stakeholders to identify risks, implement effective controls, and support a positive safety culture across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide expert HSE advice, coaching, and support to project teams, supervisors, and workers.
- Promote a proactive safety culture through engagement, consultation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, safety observations, and compliance reviews.




- Facilitate toolbox talks, safety meetings, and HSE training sessions.
- Lead incident investigations, reporting, and corrective action processes.
- Review, develop, and maintain HSE documentation including SWMS, risk assessments, procedures, and management plans.
- Ensure compliance with relevant WHS legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
- Support project teams with hazard identification, risk management, and implementation of effective control measures.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, subcontractors, and external parties.
- Provide guidance and support to junior HSE team members.

To be considered for this role, you will have:

- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (minimum) or Diploma of Work Health & Safety.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in a Senior HSE Advisor or similar role.
- Strong experience within the Civil Construction industry.
- Sound knowledge of WHS legislation, compliance requirements, and safety management systems.
- Experience conducting audits, inspections, investigations, and risk assessments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence teams at all levels.
- A proactive approach with the ability to work autonomously across multiple projects.
