PARC Engineering are seeking experienced & motivated Trade Assistants to join us on our FIFO Project based in Kalgoorlie on a 2/1 roster
What is included
- Roster: 2/1
- Working Hours: 12hrs days (11.5hrs paid)
- Duration: 12 months
- Weekly pay
- Full time contract or casual
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Industrial Painters and Blasters with daily work activities.
- Prepare work areas, including masking, covering, and protecting surrounding equipment and structures.
- Perform mechanical surface preparation using hand and power tools.
- Assist with abrasive blasting operations where authorised and trained.
- Mix, transport, and prepare paints, coatings, solvents, and consumables.
- Clean and maintain spray equipment, hoses, pots, and associated tools.
- Load, unload, and move materials using manual handling techniques and mechanical aids.
- Assist with scaffold access, equipment setup, and worksite preparation.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the work area.
- Dispose of waste materials in accordance with environmental procedures.
- Assist with coating repairs and touch-up work under supervision.
- Follow work instructions, drawings, specifications, and supervisor directions.
Requirements:
- Construction White Card
- Current Driver's Licence
- EWP
- Working at Heights (within 2 yrs)
- Confined Space Entry (within 2 yrs)
- National Police Clearance (within 12 months)
- Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol Screen
- Previous experience as a Trade Assistant or Labourer within mining, industrial, construction, or maintenance environments.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
- Reliable, punctual, and motivated.
- Experience working on mine sites or shutdown projects.
