Are you ready to start your engineering career where you'll work on some of Australia's largest and most specialised underground mining equipment?

Ventico Australia is seeking a motivated Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our growing engineering team at our Tomago, NSW facility.

This is not a desk-only engineering role. You'll work alongside experienced mechanical engineers, tradespeople and technicians to design, develop, improve and support underground mining equipment operating throughout Australia.

About Ventico Australia

Ventico Australia is a leading designer, manufacturer and overhaul specialist for underground coal mining equipment. We are an OEM for a range of specialised mining machines and attachments and are recognised for our expertise in heavy mechanical engineering, diesel engine systems (DES), hydraulic systems, braking systems and mining compliance.

Our work includes:

- Heavy equipment design and manufacture

- Mechanical and structural design

- 3D CAD modelling

- Hydraulic system design

- Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

- Prototype development and testing

- Machine rebuilds and engineering upgrades

- Design certification and engineering documentation

- Research and development of new mining technologies

The Opportunity

As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer, you will gain practical experience across every stage of the engineering process, including:

- Mechanical design using SolidWorks

- Producing manufacturing drawings

- Reverse engineering existing equipment

- Structural and mechanical calculations

- Design validation and testing

- Site visits to underground coal mines

- Working directly with fabrication and machining teams





- Assisting with new product development

- Supporting engineering documentation and technical reports

- Participating in continuous improvement projects

This role provides genuine exposure to large-scale mechanical engineering projects from concept through to commissioning.

About You

You will have:

- Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (or graduating within the next 12 months)

- Strong problem-solving skills

- Interest in heavy machinery and mechanical systems

- Knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks experience desirable)

- Good communication skills

- A willingness to learn from experienced engineers and tradespeople

- Australian working rights

- Current driver's licence (or ability to obtain one)
