Your New Role

As the Site Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of our Colbinabbin site, ensuring production, maintenance and logistics activities are carried out safely and efficiently.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll lead from the front, supporting your team and contributing to the day-to-day operation of the site.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading the day-to-day logistics and maintenance operations, including overseeing preventative maintenance programs and providing hands-on support with troubleshooting and equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime.

- Collaborating closely with the Production Manager to achieve customer expectations and business objectives by monitoring product quality, plant performance and operational efficiency.

- Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant reliability, efficiency and productivity.

- Managing raw material inventory and stock control to support production requirements.

- Leading, mentoring and developing your team through effective inductions, training and ongoing skills development.

- Promoting and maintaining a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with company policies, quality standards and legislative requirements.





- Working with the management team to review and improve systems, procedures and processes to support operational excellence and ongoing compliance.

- Preparing reports for the management team and contributing to regular management meetings.

About You

- Proven experience leading and developing teams, fostering a positive workplace culture and leading by example.

- A positive "can-do" attitude, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Robust organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise, plan and coordinate site activities.

- An eye for detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.

- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the grain handling or feed milling industry, with sound knowledge of production and mill operations.

- Hands-on maintenance experience, including troubleshooting, fault finding and responding effectively to equipment breakdowns.

- Experience coordinating production, logistics and raw material inventory.

- Competent computer skills, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and business systems.

- A current Driver's Licence.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

- Boiler Attendant's Ticket.

- Current Forklift Licence.

- Mechanical trade qualification or demonstrated mechanical aptitude.

- Experience using ProBatch or similar production management software.
