The Opportunity

We are seeking a Consultant Paediatrician with a strong interest in neurodevelopmental paediatrics to join the Monarch team. As the senior medical clinician within our multidisciplinary assessment team, you will provide expert clinical leadership in Neurodiverse assessments, medical assessment, and the identification of co-occurring conditions in children aged 2–18 years.

This is a rare opportunity to work in a specialist, paediatric-only environment with a highly skilled allied health team — without the pressures of a general paediatric or hospital caseload.

What You Will Be Doing

• Conducting specialist paediatric consultations including detailed developmental, medical, and family histories and physical examinations

• Assessing for conditions such as ASD, ADHD, anxiety, intellectual disability, sleep disorders, and sensory processing differences

• Reviewing and interpreting relevant investigations such as genetic testing and audiology.





• Contributing to multidisciplinary diagnostic formulation and decision making.

• Preparing comprehensive medical reports and supporting documentation if required for NDIS, education, and funding applications

• Providing compassionate diagnostic feedback to families and supporting post-diagnostic care planning

• Providing medical leadership, mentoring, and clinical governance within the team

About You

• MBBS and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, Paediatrics and Child Health Division (FRACP) or equivalent

• Full, unconditional registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA)

• Demonstrated experience in neurodevelopmental paediatrics, including ASD, ADHD and cognitive assessments.

• Excellent communication skills and experience working within multidisciplinary teams

• Sub-specialist interest or training in developmental-behavioural or neurodevelopmental paediatrics is highly regarded

• Current Working with Children Check and Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
