About the role

Physio For You Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated and skilled Lymphoedema Physiotherapist to join our team on a full-time basis. Based in Gosford, NSW, this position offers the opportunity to specialise in lymphoedema management and provide expert care to patients requiring rehabilitation and physiotherapy support. As a Lymphoedema Physiotherapist, you will play a vital role in improving patient outcomes and quality of life through evidence-based therapeutic interventions and comprehensive lymphoedema management programmes.

Key responsibilities

- Assess and evaluate patients presenting with lymphoedema, utilising specialised techniques and clinical reasoning to develop individualised treatment plans

- Deliver specialised lymphoedema management interventions, including manual lymphatic drainage, compression therapy, and therapeutic exercise prescription

- Provide patient education on self-management strategies, including skin care, exercise programmes, and compression garment usage

- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment programmes as required to optimise clinical outcomes

- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including surgeons, oncologists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care

- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with regulatory requirements and professional standards

- Support the development and implementation of evidence-based clinical protocols and best practice guidelines within the physiotherapy service

- Contribute to the professional development of the team and support the mentoring of junior physiotherapy staff where appropriate

What we're looking for

- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Physiotherapist





- Recognised qualification in lymphoedema management or specialist lymphoedema training (such as through the Lymphoedema Association of Australia or equivalent)

- Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience in lymphoedema management, preferably in a rehabilitation or hospital setting

- Comprehensive knowledge of lymphatic anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology, and the ability to apply this knowledge to clinical practice

- Competence in assessment and treatment techniques specific to lymphoedema, including manual lymphatic drainage and compression therapy

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and motivate patients to engage in self-management strategies

- Excellent clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions

- Commitment to continuing professional development and evidence-based practice in lymphoedema management

- Professional liability insurance and current CPR certification
