The opportunity:

The Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing and managing enterprise security controls across Email Security, Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Web Application Firewall (WAF) platforms to protect the organisation from cyber threats, data leakage and web-based attacks.

What you will do:

- Advanced Security Analysis: Conduct in‑depth investigation and correlation of security events using Okta, Netskope, Proofpoint, and Cloudflare telemetry.
- Incident Response: Own and manage security incidents through investigation, containment, remediation support, and closure.
- Own and resolve security and identity‑related support tickets as part of day‑to‑day cyber Engineering and IAM operations.
- Root Cause Analysis: Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions to reduce repeat incidents.
- Operational Support: Resolve complex security tickets and provide escalation support for L1 engineers.
- Risk & Vulnerability Insight: Identify systemic risks and recurring control gaps, supporting remediation tracking and reporting.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate incident impact, findings, and recommendations to engineering, I&O;, and security leadership.
- Process Improvement:



Contribute to SOC playbooks, detection tuning, and continuous improvement of SOC processes.
- Mentoring: Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to L1 SOC engineers.
- Collaborate closely with cyber engineering, identity, and I&O; teams to provide operational security support.
- Professional Development: Maintain current knowledge of threats, tooling, and frameworks through continuous learning and certificates

What we are looking for:

The ideal candidate will have;

- 4+ years experience in a Cyber Security, Security Engineering, or Information Security role.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, GSEC are jighly desirable but not mandatory.
- Experience with security technologies such as SIEM, EDR, CASB, vulnerability management, IDS/IPS, and firewalls.
- Knowledge of cyber security frameworks and standards such as, ASD Essential Eight, NIST, ISO 27001, and ISM.
- Hands-on experience with email security solutions (e.g. Proofpoint), DLP technologies, WAF platforms (e.g. Netskope & Cloudflare),
- Strong incident investigation and troubleshooting skills,
- The ability to work collaboratively with business and technology teams to continuously improve cyber security posture.
