An exciting opportunity exists for a skilled Field Service Technician to join a global engineering company servicing specialised food-processing machinery across NSW.

Working primarily within the further-processing sector of the food industry, you will undertake preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, installations and commissioning across customer sites.

This role offers significant earning potential through overtime and allowances. It is best suited to a hardworking, physically capable technician who enjoys hands-on fieldwork, takes pride in their work and is comfortable spending regular time away from home.

The Role

- Service, maintain and install specialised food-processing machinery.
- Complete mechanical and electrical fault-finding.
- Undertake preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs.
- Assist with equipment installations and commissioning.
- Build strong relationships with customers across NSW.
- Complete service reports and technical documentation.
- Travel regularly to regional customer sites.
- Spend approximately 50 days per year away from home.
- Participate in a weekend roster of approximately one weekend in every four.

About You

You will ideally be either:

- A qualified electrician with strong mechanical skills and experience working on machinery; or
- A qualified mechanical technician or fitter holding a current Restricted Electrical Disconnect/Reconnect Licence.

You will also demonstrate:





- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding capabilities.
- Experience within manufacturing, production, packaging or processing environments.
- A current electrical licence or Restricted Electrical Disconnect/Reconnect Licence.
- A solid work ethic and willingness to put in additional hours when required.
- The physical capability to undertake demanding, hands-on field-service work.
- The ability to work safely and autonomously at customer sites.
- Flexibility to travel regularly and work rostered weekends.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills.
- A current Australian driver’s licence.
