We are currently seeking applications for a Cyber Security Project Officer to join the Office of the Chief Information Officer at the Department of Treasury and Finance on an ongoing basis.

Remuneration: ASO5 – Salary Range ($92,122 - $102,456 p.a.).

About the opportunity:

The Cyber Security Project Officer manages the day-to-day operation of the Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting, and Conformance (DMARC) platform, including compliance monitoring and reporting, in line with the SA Cyber Security Framework (SACSF). The role works with agencies to onboard users, manage access, deliver practical guidance, and provide technical analysis to support secure email practices. The role also supports the management of the External Attack Surface Management (EASM) platform.

About you:

To be successful you will:

- Manage and deliver projects and initiatives, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders across planning, implementation, evaluation, and delivery phases.
- Support agency compliance with SACSF Standard 18.1 (DMARC and Email Security) through engagement, education, and progress monitoring and reporting.
- Provide technical guidance on DMARC, Sender Protect Framework (SPF) and DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM), supporting agency technical and communications staff to strengthen email security practices.
- Foster collaboration with agency and vendor stakeholders to support the implementation of cyber security initiatives aligned with government strategy.
- Provide technical analysis and support to resolve email delivery issues and enable monitoring of vulnerabilities across internet-facing systems through External Attack Surface Management.
