About Us

The Australian Hotels Association (SA) is the peak body for SA’s hotel industry, delivering advocacy, events and member services across a dynamic sector. We represent over 600 pubs and accommodation operators across South Australia.

About the Role

As Membership Manager, you'll be the face of the Association to our members, building trusted relationships while helping businesses access the expertise and services that make membership valuable.

You'll spend much of your time visiting members across South Australia, understanding their businesses, identifying opportunities and ensuring they remain connected with everything the Association has to offer. Frequent and focused travel, including overnight is a key part of this role.

Working closely with the CEO and leadership to deliver, you'll also ensure valuable member knowledge is captured through our CRM so the entire Association can deliver exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective members

- Grow membership engagement and contribute to attracting current members

- Connect members with advocacy, workplace relations, training, events and specialist Association services.

- Travel regularly throughout metropolitan and regional South Australia visiting members.

- Act as a trusted adviser and positive ambassador for the Association.





- Capture meaningful member insights using our CRM and technology platforms to improve service and organisational knowledge.

About You

You'll be a genuine people person who enjoys building trusted relationships and delivering outstanding service. Comfortable talking with publicans, accommodation operators and venue managers alike, you'll enjoy being out on the road, visiting members, understanding their businesses and helping them get the most from their Association membership. You'll be organised, proactive and take pride in making a positive difference to South Australia's hospitality industry.

Essential:

- Experience in relationship, membership, account or business development roles.

- Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for service.

- Strong organisational skills, initiative and the ability to work independently.

- Confidence using CRM systems and technology.

- Hospitality, tourism or association experience will be highly regarded.

- You hold a current South Australian driver's license

Desirable:

Experience in the hospitality, accommodation, tourism or association sectors will be highly regarded, along with tertiary qualifications in Business, Hospitality or Tourism. Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and other current technology will also be advantageous.
