About the Role

We’re seeking a Graduate Control Systems Engineer to join our Townsville office, with a preference for candidates interested in Automation. This role offers the opportunity to develop technical skills across various electrical disciplines while learning from experienced industry professionals. As a Graduate Engineer, you’ll contribute to engineering analysis, design, and documentation under the guidance of senior engineers, with the goal of achieving independent competency within two to three years through hands-on experience and structured training.

Key Responsibilities

- Undertake a range of technical tasks to achieve the objectives of quality, schedule and budgeted man-hours, whilst under the supervision of experienced engineers

- Design of automation and control systems, such as PLC, telemetry and SCADA systems, including selection of equipment, I/O calculations and relevant documentation

- Control system programming, configuration and troubleshooting

- Preparation of detailed and well-structured written reports, functional specifications and scopes of work

About You

- You may have some work experience in control systems, electrical design or power systems





- You will be highly motivated to learn and have a strong work ethic

- Ability to write high-quality technical documents

- Ability to verbally communicate clearly and efficiently with other team members and clients

Qualifications/Experience Required

- You will have recently become degree qualified in Engineering (or graduating soon)

- You will be willing to become a Registered Engineer in QLD

- Client-focused with strong communication skills

- Team experience

- Basic understanding of control system design and development

- Basic understanding of electrical design
