About the Role

Paradise Village (SA) is seeking a reliable, experienced, and passionate Cook to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious, high-quality meals for our residents while ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards. You will play a key role in supporting the health, wellbeing, and satisfaction of residents through the provision of fresh and enjoyable meals.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare, cook, and present nutritious meals in accordance with approved menus.

- Accommodate special dietary requirements, allergies, cultural preferences, and texture-modified diets.

- Ensure all food preparation, storage, and serving practices comply with Food Safety Standards and HACCP requirements.

- Maintain accurate food safety records and documentation and actively participate in internal and external audits to ensure ongoing compliance with Food Safety Standards, HACCP requirements, and organisational policies.

- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen, equipment, and food preparation areas.

- Monitor food supplies and stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory control.

- Minimise food wastage and ensure efficient use of supplies.

- Work collaboratively with management and support staff to meet residents' dietary needs.

- Deliver consistently high standards of food quality and customer service.

- Adhere to workplace health and safety policies and infection control procedures.

Essential Requirements





- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.

- Minimum 1 year experience as a Cook

- Current Food Safety Certificate.

- HACCP Certification or demonstrated experience working under HACCP principles.

- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and safe food handling practices.

- Excellent organisational and time management skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain one.

- Australian working rights.

Desirable Requirements

- Experience working in aged care, disability services, residential care, or healthcare settings.

- Knowledge of texture-modified diets and specialised nutrition requirements.

- Experience catering for large groups and menu planning.

Availability

Applicants must be available to work a versatile roster, including:

- Weekdays

- Weekends

- Public Holidays

- Occasional evening shifts
