Reporting to the Team Leader Horticulture, our Field Officer Irrigation positions are responsible for operating and maintaining Council's irrigation systems across the City's reserves, sporting fields, and streetscapes - ensuring they thrive in line with service levels, management plans, and industry standards.
We have opportunities available for highly qualified and experienced irrigation plumbers, and also those newer to the field.

About you
You've got a background in Irrigation or Horticulture, enjoy working collaboratively, and can follow a maintenance programme whilst delivering a high level of service to your stakeholders.
- Qualifications and licences:
- Have a minimum Certificate III in Irrigation or Horticulture or relevant industry experience
- Have a Class C Driver's Licence
- Have a current Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White card) or willingness to obtain
- Have a Temporary Traffic Management ticket (TTM) or willingness to obtain
- Have an Excavator ticket or willingness to obtain
- Certificate of competency in Load Shifting Equipment or willingness to obtain is highly regarded
- Willingness to undertake a Police Check and a pre-employment medical assessment as part of the recruitment process

Salary range is between $75,220 (Grade 4) and $79,218 (Grade 7) plus superannuation guarantee and will be negotiated commensurate with skills, experience, and qualifications. Chance to develop and progress through Grades!
The remuneration will shortly be increased in-line with our Field Staff Enterprise Bargaining Agreement.
