- Build an engaged, collaborative and high-performing team culture.
- Coach, mentor and develop supervisors and operational employees to achieve their full potential.
- Manage operational performance, workforce planning and resource allocation to meet customer and business requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with airline customers, airport stakeholders and service partners.
- Ensure compliance with aviation regulations, company procedures and customer requirements.
- Monitor operational performance and implement initiatives to improve safety, efficiency and service delivery.
- Lead incident investigations, audits and regulatory inspections.
- Contribute to national operational projects and share best practice across the business.
About You
You are a visible and approachable leader who understands that exceptional operational performance starts with engaged people.
You enjoy building relationships, developing others and creating a positive team culture. You communicate openly, lead with integrity and are comfortable coaching employees, recognising success and addressing challenges with professionalism and respect.
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
- Proven leadership experience in aviation, logistics, transport, fuel operations or another safety-critical operational environment.
- Previous leadership experience in airport apron operations or aviation ground handling is highly desirable.
- Outstanding people leadership skills, with the ability to build trust, develop high-performing teams and foster a positive workplace culture.
- Demonstrated experience coaching, mentoring and developing frontline leaders and operational employees.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage people at all levels.
- Experience managing employee performance, conflict resolution and employee development.
- Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving skills.
- A commitment to Health, Safety, Security and Environmental excellence.
- The ability to make sound decisions and remain calm in a fast-paced, operational environment.
