The opportunity
EDP is seeking an experienced contaminated land practitioner who desires to lead and deliver overarching success for their Greater Sydney region We are looking for a commercially disciplined,
client-focused and people-oriented manager who can:
- Own and deliver regional fee income, utilisation and performance targets for the EDP’s Environment division within the Greater Sydney Region.
- Lead consultant teams in accordance with EDP’s Leadership, Management and Accountability framework.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, acting as a senior point of contact for significant client relationships.
- Expand existing client relationships and seize business development opportunities to increase regional revenue and share of client spend.
- Drive proposal development, fee inputs and scope definition for opportunities within EDP’s target market.
- Fulfil project delivery requirements and maintain own utilisation target through Project Management, Project Directorship or Technical Reviewer functions.
- Manage the region’s forecasted workload, revenue and resourcing requirements, and raise potential budget or resourcing constraints early with State or National levels.
- Plan and manage resources directly and through Team Managers to meet workload demands efficiently, balancing utilisation whilst maintaining staff wellbeing.
- Provide commercial oversight and project budget reviews with project delivery teams to identify at-risk projects early. Create corrective actions in partnership with Project Managers and Project Directors for implementation by project teams.
- Work with the State Manager, National Executives and the Operations Director to address performance risks, capability needs and growth opportunities.
- Maintain a positive, accountable and engaged regional team culture.

- Have an established career in contaminated land management consulting, with awareness and general consulting capability across other environment disciplines.
- Have demonstrated experience leading teams in a consulting or professional services environment.
- Be results focused with demonstrated accountability for revenue, utilisation and/or delivery outcomes of the region
- Bring strong client relationship skills with an ability to grow repeat work through trusted engagement.
- Have strong commercial awareness and delivery judgement.
- Be confident managing competing client, people, project and commercial priorities.
- Be a clear, structured and pragmatic leader who can make decisions and provide direction under pressure.
- Honour EDP’s core values and demonstrate a collaborative working style with a proactive attitude to regional growth, people leadership and business performance.
- Be comfortable balancing leadership responsibilities with an agreed level of personal billable utilisation.
- Be an outstanding communicator with a demonstrable understanding of consulting delivery, client service, commercial performance and quality expectations.
