We are seeking an experienced and motivated Tax Manager to join our growing Tax Corporate Division in Sydney CBD.

About the Role

As our Tax Manager, you will play a key role in leading the delivery of tax and business advisory services to a portfolio of corporate clients. Working closely with the Partners, you will be responsible for ensuring work is delivered on time, to a high technical standard, and in line with the firm's commercial objectives.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Managing a portfolio of corporate clients, acting as their trusted adviser and ensuring exceptional client service
- Planning, coordinating and managing workflow across the team to ensure deadlines are met and work is delivered efficiently
- Monitoring team capacity, allocating work effectively and balancing resources to maximise productivity
- Managing WIP, recoverability and budgets, taking ownership of portfolio performance and achieving profitability targets
- Driving productivity and ensuring the team consistently delivers against budget and performance expectations
- Reviewing tax compliance and related work to ensure technical excellence, quality and compliance with legislative requirements.
- Building long-term relationships with clients, understanding their businesses and providing practical, commercially focused advice
- Working closely with the Partners to proactively manage client portfolios,



identify priorities and deliver outstanding outcomes
- Coaching, mentoring and developing team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture
- Identifying opportunities to broaden client relationships through additional tax and advisory services

About You

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership of their portfolio, leading a team, building trusted client relationships and contributing to the growth of a collaborative boutique practice.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

- 7 years+ experience in a business services or technical tax role within a chartered accounting firm
- Experience within the SMEs market specialising in Direct and Indirect Taxes, Trusts and Corporate Tax
- CA qualified
- Strong technical knowledge of Australian Tax legislation
- Experience managing client relationships and leading teams
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Commercially minded with a proactive approach to client service
- A passion for delivering exceptional outcomes and innovative solutions
