Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the fixed asset register, including asset additions, disposals and depreciation calculations
- Support lease accounting processes and related reporting requirements
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations
- Prepare month-end journals,
accruals and prepayments
- Assist with year-end reporting, audit preparation and financial statement support
- General ledger maintenance and reconciliation activities
- Investigate and resolve account discrepancies
- Support budgeting, forecasting and finance reporting requirements
- Respond to internal stakeholder queries and provide finance support
- Assist with process improvements and system enhancements
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in an Accountant or Assistant Accountant role
- Strong experience managing fixed assets
- Experience with lease accounting
- Proven experience performing bank reconciliations
- Experience working with large ERP systems
- Strong reconciliation and analytical skills
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to work autonomously
- A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to quickly adapt and hit the ground running
