About the role

Tetris Group is seeking an experienced Pipe Fitter to join our team on a casual basis. This role offers the flexibility of casual work while providing the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects. Based in Yatala, QLD 4207, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing pipe systems across various industrial and commercial applications. This position is integral to ensuring the safe and effective operation of our clients' facilities and plays a vital role in the successful completion of our projects.

Key responsibilities

- Measuring, cutting, threading and bending pipes to required specifications using appropriate tools and equipment

- Installing pipe systems, valves, fittings and other components in accordance with technical drawings and specifications

- Performing welding, soldering and brazing operations where required to join pipes and fittings securely

- Testing pipe systems for leaks and pressure integrity using specialised equipment

- Maintaining and repairing existing pipe systems to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance

- Following all health and safety protocols and industry standards, including AS/NZS 4343 and relevant Australian building codes

- Collaborating with other tradespeople, engineers and project managers to ensure timely project completion

- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints and specifications accurately

- Maintaining accurate records of work completed and materials used

What we're looking for

- Current or recent experience as a Pipe Fitter in industrial, commercial or construction environments

- Proven competency in pipe installation, maintenance and repair techniques

- Experience with various materials including steel, copper, PVC and other pipe types

- Proficiency in welding and related pipe joining methods

- Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations and work site protocols





- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Physical fitness and ability to work at heights or in confined spaces where applicable

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

- Current First Aid Certificate (desirable)

- Relevant trade qualifications or certifications (desired)

- Willingness to work flexibly to meet project requirements
