Senior Digital Strategist - eCommerce

A growing digital marketing agency with a solid client base of online retail brands is looking for a Senior Digital Strategist to take ownership of a portfolio of accounts spanning international markets. This is a senior blended role combining strategic leadership, client ownership and people management.

You'll be the strategic backbone behind your portfolio's paid media performance, the senior point of contact clients trust and rely on and a mentor to a small team of specialists delivering the work day to day. This isn't a role for someone who lives purely in campaign metrics — you need a genuine handle on the commercial side of ecommerce, from margin and retention through to what actually makes an offer convert.

What you'll do
Guide and develop a small team of media specialists, overseeing their output, workload and growth
Take full ownership of paid media strategy for your client portfolio, connecting it back to each brand's growth and revenue goals
Sit as the senior client contact,



running strategic meetings and reviews and building long-term trust
Be accountable for commercial outcomes — efficiency, return on spend, acquisition and retention
Bring a genuine ecommerce mindset to the table — margin, average order value, lifetime value, repeat purchase behaviour and conversion, not media metrics in isolation

What you'll bring
Solid experience in ecommerce-focused performance marketing, including managing a team and holding senior client relationships
Solid hands-on expertise across Meta and Google, with other channels considered a bonus
A real understanding of how paid media connects to conversion rate, retention and the broader commercial picture
Respect for brand and creative — comfortable briefing and assessing creative output, not just optimising ad accounts
Confident communicator who clients trust — calm, proactive and solutions-focused
Comfortable using AI tools to work smarter, with a genuine interest in how the space is evolving
