Townsville Orthodontic Specialists is a Specialist Orthodontic Practice located in Townsville, with a passion for patient care. We have a full time position for a Dental/ Administration Assistant. This position is an integral role in the practice and involves working directly with patients and their families to provide excellent service and care during their orthodontic treatment. This position comes with very attractive employment conditions and includes onsite training.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Greeting and registering patients and visitors to the practice in a friendly manner
Incoming/outgoing phone calls
Scheduling of orthodontic appointments
Invoicing and receipting of patient finances
Medical report writing/typing
Providing administrative support and chairside assistance to our Specialist Orthodontists
General office and administration duties
Maintaining a high level of infection control at all times
Dental assisting and other clinical duties
Skills and experience
Ideally, the successful applicant should have, or be willing to attain the following:
Medical or Dental experience (desirable)
Year 12 or equivalent
Certificate III in Business Administration and/ or Certificate III in Dental Assisting (Please note:
applicants with less experience will certainly be considered, provided such applicants have a excellent attitude and work ethic. On the job training is provided and will enable employees to successfully complete a Certificate III in Business Administration and/ or Certificate III in Dental Assisting during their employment)
High level computer skills/experience including use of Microsoft Office (essential)
Ability to work well unsupervised
Show initiative and enthusiasm
A high level of attention to detail
Medical report typing experience (desirable)
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Commitment to service and results
Class C drivers license
