We’re recruiting experienced Chefs and Cooks (Casual) to support an established Aged Care client across multiple Perth metro locations. If you can deliver nutritious, high-volume meals and understand IDDSI/texture-modified diets, we’d love to hear from you.

Weekdays + weekends
Work across multiple sites based on roster needs
The roles
We have casual prospects for:
Chef – menu oversight, compliance, reporting and kitchen management
Cook – high-volume meal production, stock control, and relieving the Chef when required
Key duties (Chef & Cook)
Produce attractive, nutritious meals for residents and functions (high volume)
Maintain strong knowledge of menu items: ingredients, cooking techniques and presentation
Follow Food Safe principles, Aged Care Standards and food handling legislation
Exercise portion control and actively monitor wastage
Respond positively to resident dietary needs, requests and complaints (including IDDSI)
Maintain secure, clean and orderly food preparation areas
Stock control: ordering, correct storage temps, stock rotation and security
Monthly stock-takes (as required)
Additional duties (Chef)
Design and review resident/function menus
Manage kitchen stock and meal costs within budget
Maintain resident food preference records and diet documentation
Attend monthly meetings with dieticians and speech therapists
Attend Resident/Relative meetings where required
Maintain audits and residents’ diet plans
Prepare monthly reports for the Service Manager
Respond to complaints/requests in conjunction with the Manager
Additional duties (Cook)
Assist with menu development and review
Order consumables cost effectively
Relieve the Chef where required
Mandatory requirements
National Police Clearance (issued within the last 6 months)
Safe Food Handling certificate
IPC (Infection Prevention Control) training
IDDSI training
Minimum 1 year experience in Aged Care
Ability to travel to the listed locations
Working rights in Australia
Qualifications
Chef
Minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) – Certificate IV preferred
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Chef
Cook
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
Highly regarded
Current Flu Vaccination
