We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our precision-focused Machine Shop team in Perth, WA.
About the Role
Reporting to the Machine Shop Supervisor, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC lathes and machining centres within a busy jobbing workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Program and operate CNC lathes and machining centres
Proficiency with SIEMENS 828D/840D controls and SIEMENS ShopTurn language is essential
Produce high-precision components to exacting standards
Read and interpret complex technical drawings
Work autonomously and collaborate effectively in a small team
Maintain safety, quality, and workshop housekeeping standards
Operate forklifts and overhead cranes (desirable)
About You
You will bring:
A Trade Certificate / Qualification in Machining or equivalent
Proven experience as a CNC Machinist — CNC turning experience preferred
Strong ability to program, set up, and operate CNC machines
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision
A Forklift Licence (advantageous but not essential)
