Are you ready to contribute to the delivery of large scale electrical infrastructure projects across the energy sector? We are seeking experienced Electrical Estimators / Bid Coordinators to express interest in upcoming opportunities working on HV substations, transmission lines, and renewable energy projects.
Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate the end-to-end tendering process for high value energy infrastructure projects
Prepare detailed first principles cost estimates, BOQs, and RFQs to support bids
Review and manage subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure alignment with scope and budgets
Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure technical and commercial consistency in bids
Maintain bid documentation, assumptions, risk registers, and approval workflows
Conduct site visits to gather project specific data for accurate cost modeling
Identify and manage risks and prospects to optimise bid outcomes
Support continuous improvement of bid and estimating processes
About You / Qualifications
Proven experience in estimating and coordinating bids for HV substations, switching stations, BESS, and transmission line projects
Expertise in first principles estimating, BOQs, RFQs, and tendering processes
Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and electrical systems for energy projects
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and time management skills
A degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification, or proven experience as an HV Field Electrician / Project Engineer with estimating exposure
Proficiency in estimating software
