A well-established investment and asset management firm is seeking an Assistant Company Secretary to support its real‑estate business. The organisation manages long‑term, high‑quality assets and operates across multiple jurisdictions, with a significant presence in Australia. The role sits within a lean company secretarial function and works closely with senior stakeholders locally and offshore.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver corporate governance and company secretarial support across the Australian real‑estate portfolio.
Draft and circulate board and shareholder resolutions.
Maintain corporate registers and statutory records.
Coordinate board and committee meetings, including the preparation of agendas and board papers.
Prepare draft minutes in a timely manner.
Manage statutory and regulatory compliance obligations.
Advise on governance requirements for projects and transactions.
Support continuous improvement of internal governance and approval processes.
Maintain corporate structure charts.
Respond to ad‑hoc requests from legal, tax and finance teams.
Assist with additional governance‑related projects as required.
About You
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a company secretarial or corporate governance role.
Experience supporting complex corporate structures and board processes.
Robust attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Location: Sydney (based).
Remuneration is commensurate with experience.
