Embroidery Machinist

Reports to: The Embroidery Machinist will report to the Production Manager

Job Summary

As an Embroidery Machinist at Struddys, you will be responsible for operating our embroidery machines to complete in-house orders to the highest quality standards. You’ll play a key role in ensuring garments are decorated accurately, efficiently, and on time, helping us deliver exceptional results for our customers.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Meet deadlines set by the Operations Manager and Team Leader.

· Follow all embroidery policies, procedures, and quality control standards.

· Accurately update the tracker system and maintain a logbook of completed orders.

· Set up and run embroidery jobs according to order forms, ensuring correct threads and designs are used.

· Prepare and frame garments correctly before loading machines.

· Set up logos for embroidery on the computer and confirm approvals from sales reps before production.





· Inspect and finish garments as required (e.g., steaming) to ensure the highest quality presentation.

· Keep your work area clean, organised, and secure.

· Report machine breakdowns promptly to your Team Leader.

· Report any workplace health and safety issues to your Team Leader.

· Support the wider production team as required.

Qualifications and Skills

· Previous experience operating embroidery machines (e.g. Tajima, or similar) preferred.

· High attention to detail and pride in workmanship.

· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

· Solid organisational skills and ability to follow instructions.

· Team player with valuable communication skills.

· Willingness to learn and assist in other areas of production if needed.
