Prospect

We are looking for a Corrosion Engineer to join our multidisciplinary water team in Newcastle. The role offers a career path focused on corrosion science within a supportive and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities
Onsite condition assessment of water industry assets such as pipelines, reservoirs, treatment plants and network assets (pump stations).
Electrochemical testing of soils and water.
Preparation and review of durability plans.
Failure analysis of events: investigating causes and developing solutions to prevent future defects.
Writing clear and concise reports to communicate findings to clients.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in materials, civil engineering or equivalent.




Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
Well‑developed written and verbal communication skills.
Passion for learning and mentoring junior team members.
Willingness to travel to client sites across NSW, as needed.
Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
Experience with ROV and/or RPAS is an advantage.
Knowledge of risk management and design‑related risk identification.
Commitment to safety and adherence to HSEQ systems.
