Your current role You will manage a fleet of 19 trucks and oversee a team of approximately 20 transport staff. The role requires leading daily fleet operations, ensuring compliance, and maintaining a robust safety focus across all activities.
Responsibilities
Manage day‑to‑day fleet operations, scheduling and driver coordination
Monitor vehicle maintenance, compliance and safety standards
Identify and implement cost‑saving opportunities across the fleet
Support drivers with issues or queries, including occasional after‑hours calls
Ensure all transport activities meet legislative and industry requirements
Lead and mentor a team of around 20 staff
Report on fleet performance and improvement initiatives
Requirements
Dangerous Goods (DG) Licence
Current truck licence (minimum Medium Rigid )
Forklift licence
Experience managing fleets, transport operations or similar environments
Strong understanding of compliance, safety and maintenance
Flexibility to assist the team outside standard hours when required
