Role
EPIS is seeking a Cook to join the East Pilbara Independence Support (EPIS) team in Newman. We currently have a full‑time position available for this role. The primary responsibility of the Cook is to manage all aspects of food services within EPIS.
Key Duties
Understand food choices for the elderly, including balanced nutrition and appropriate foods for clients.
Develop monthly menus and organize the shopping for all food supplies.
Ensure the kitchen is cleaned and up to standard.
Manage menus and recipes for all Houses.
Prepare and cook daily meals for the clients and when required (e.g., client activities and functions).
Provide qualified and high‑quality food services to the clients by having a comprehensive understanding of their food requirements, choices and preferences.
Qualifications
Experience in working with Indigenous peoples in a community setting.
Friendly and caring nature with a cheerful attitude.
Valuable interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
Possess a current WA Driver’s License.
Current Police Clearance.
