We are looking to recruit an Asbestos Laboratory Manager to join our Laboratory in the South East. You will ideally hold previous experience working within an established asbestos laboratory overseeing a team of lab analysts in a busy environment, training recent lab analysts to a high standard, and getting involved in carrying out sample analysis when required. Experience & Qualifications
Hold the BOHS P401 qualification.
Have experience working within a successful asbestos laboratory.
Have excellent time management skills.
Ability to work well in a busy environment.
Excellent communication skills.
Have a friendly and skilled manner.
The Role
Oversee a busy lab of analysts.
Carry out training with trainee lab analysts.
Ensure work is carried out in line with HSG 248 Guidelines.
Get involved in the company quality control schemes.
Carry out analysis of asbestos samples.
Enter findings from analysis onto internal systems.
Ensure the laboratory is always clean.
Ensure all equipment is correctly calibrated.
Liaise with managers / clients when required.
