Key Responsibilities
Program, Set Up & Operate: Write, modify, and optimize programs using conversational Siemens controls (Sinumerik) for CNC Lathe.
Machining Operations: Manufacture high-precision components directly from technical engineering drawings to exact tolerances.
Tooling & Setup: Select appropriate tooling, speeds, feeds, and work-holding fixtures for maximum production efficiency.
Quality Assurance: Inspect finished parts using standard precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure compliance.
Workshop Standards: Maintain a safe, clean workplace and participate in team continuous improvement efforts.
What We Are Looking For
Trade Qualified:
Australian Recognized Trade Certificate (Fitter & Turner, Machinist, or equivalent qualification).
Siemens Controller Experience: Proven track record programming, setting, and operating CNC Lathes using Siemens Sinumerik controls.
Blueprint Reading: Solid ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
Detail-Oriented: A strong commitment to precision, job safety, and high-quality workmanship.
