The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance requirements and supporting operational finance activities across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports
Month‑end and year‑end processes, including balance sheet reconciliations
Preparation of annual financial statements and audit support
Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
BAS, FBT and other statutory reporting obligations
Asset register management and depreciation calculations
Oversight of accounts receivable and funding income reporting
Supporting payroll, salary packaging and finance operations as required
Maintaining solid financial controls and compliance processes
Preparation of funding reports and acquittals for government and other funding bodies
About You
You are a technically strong accountant who enjoys working in a cooperative environment and takes pride in delivering high‑quality financial outcomes.
CPA or CA qualification
Proven experience in a Senior Accountant or Senior Financial Accountant role
Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards
Experience preparing financial statements and managing audits
Advanced Excel and financial systems knowledge
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities
Candidates with experience in the not‑for‑profit sector, government‑funded programs, and particularly funding acquittals and grant reporting will be viewed very favourably.
