Pay Rate: $40.00 per hour + Super
About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Yard Person / Forklift Operator to join a busy industrial operation based in Welshpool.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation offering ongoing work, excellent training and the potential for permanent employment after 13 weeks.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, inspect and store incoming materials and equipment.
Pick, pack and dispatch orders accurately and efficiently.
Load and unload trucks, trailers and containers safely.
Safely operate forklifts ranging from 2.5 tonne to 16 tonne.
Assist with inventory management, stocktakes and cycle counts.
Drive the company vehicle to complete local deliveries and pickups as directed by the Transport Coordinator.
Complete required paperwork and basic administrative tasks.
Report equipment faults, maintenance issues and safety hazards.
Follow all workplace health, safety and operational procedures.
About You To be successful in this role you will ideally have:
Previous experience working in a warehouse, logistics, transport or supply base setting.
Current Forklift Licence (experience operating an Aislemaster forklift is highly desirable).
Experience handling oversized or specialised materials (desirable).
Solid commitment to workplace health and safety.
Positive attitude with a solid work ethic.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
Honest, reliable and a team player.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
Essential Requirements
Current Forklift Licence.
Current C Class Driver's Licence.
HR Driver's Licence (desirable).
Please note:
During quieter periods, shifts may finish earlier (minimum 4-hour engagement applies).
During busy periods, overtime may be available.
