Job Description
We're seeking a Project Engineer, based on the Gold Coast, to manage the design, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning and handover of electrical and integrated station systems within a live rail setting. Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer – Electrical, you'll coordinate interfaces between electrical, communications, mechanical, civil, structural and architectural disciplines across a complex, multidisciplinary brownfield delivery.
Project Information
ACCIONA is part of the ActivUs Alliance delivering the $5.75billion Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail project. The works will double rail capacity between Kuraby and Beenleigh, upgrade nine stations and remove five level crossings ahead of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Key Accountabilities
Review and manage electrical, communications, and mechanical designs.
Lead technical reviews, constructability assessments, and workshops.
Resolve design clashes through RFIs and stakeholder engagement.
Oversee subcontractors on HV/LV, telecoms, and mechanical packages.
Coordinate interfaces between station systems and live rail assets.
Manage quality records, commissioning, and asset handover.
Support forecasting, cost control, and programme reporting.
Required Skills and Competencies
Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience delivering major rail, transport, or station projects.
Track record managing multidisciplinary services packages.
Membership of Engineers Australia or progress toward Chartered status.
Current Rail Industry Worker (RIW) accreditation, or ability to obtain.
