We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Underground Surveyor (Grade 1) to join the technical services team and provide critical survey support at Pajingo.
Reporting to the Underground Manager and working closely with mining and tech Services teams, you will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and reliable survey control, set out, and reconciliation services that underpin safe and efficient mine execution.
This is a key senior technical role with significant autonomy and influence across production, development, and mine planning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, maintain, and certify statutory mine plans in accordance with the Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Act 1999 and Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Regulation 2017.
Perform Void Officer responsibilities and ensure statutory survey compliance across the operation.
Maintain survey control networks and mine grid systems.
Manage underground survey activities including development mark-ups, as-built surveys, and check surveys.
Conduct stope void surveys using CMS (Cavity Monitoring System).
Coordinate surface survey activities including stockpiles, dumps,
and site infrastructure surveys.
Provide accurate survey data to support mine planning, scheduling, and operational reporting.
Maintain survey databases and spatial information systems.
Lead and coordinate survey activities to ensure safe and efficient delivery of survey services.
Skills and Experience
Tertiary qualification in Surveying, Mine Surveying, or Geospatial Science.
Demonstrated experience in underground mining survey operations.
Strong knowledge of Queensland statutory survey requirements under the Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Act 1999.
Experience conducting CMS void surveys and maintaining underground survey control.
Proficiency with mine survey and planning software Deswik
Robust analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
