Respect Aged Care are currently seeking a caring, organised, and motivated Social Care Assistant to join our team at Riverside Gardens. Role Overview The Social Care Assistant is responsible for facilitating a variety of individual, group, and community-based lifestyle activities tailored to the physical, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of our residents. You will play a key role in promoting wellbeing, inclusion, and enjoyment within the home.
Essential Qualifications & Experience Certificate III or IV in Aged Care or a related discipline
Current National Police Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Empathy and sensitivity towards residents from diverse backgrounds
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Solid communication skills when engaging with residents, families, staff, and visitors Key Duties & Responsibilities Document social profiles of new residents and assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating individual social care plans
Contribute to the planning, coordination, and delivery of group and individual activities
Maintain and manage resources for the activities program
Prepare and distribute newsletters, activity notices, and related correspondence
Support the Social Care Co-Ordinator and General Manager in coordinating and supervising volunteers
