Water Cart Operators are responsible for operating water carts to suppress dust on job sites, clean pavements, and prepare unsealed roads for grading and sealing. They drive heavy vehicles that haul and spray fluids, managing engine power to regulate water flow and performing start-up and shutdown procedures. Water Cart Operators need to be experienced drivers with the ability to work autonomously and adhere to strict safety procedures and protocols.
They may also be required to perform on-the-job training, which usually takes one to two days each.
