Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Public Areas Attendant to join our accommodation team. Working across public and back-of-house spaces, you will help ensure all communal areas are clean, safe and welcoming for guests, residents and visitors. This role is operational and hands-on, with a full time opportunity available to the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Clean and maintain public areas including foyers, corridors, lifts, stairwells, toilets, function rooms and external alfresco spaces
Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing and glass cleaning to property standards
Empty rubbish bins and recycle where appropriate; manage linen and towel collections
Report maintenance issues, hazards or damage to the appropriate department
Follow protected work practices and use cleaning chemicals and equipment correctly
Assist colleagues across housekeeping and operations during peak periods
Provide friendly, professional and helpful service to guests and visitors when required
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in housekeeping, public areas or cleaning roles within hospitality or similar settings
Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks, lift and move equipment and stand for extended periods
Attention to detail and pride in delivering high standards of cleanliness
Reliable, punctual and able to work with minimal supervision
Positive communication skills and a team-focused attitude
Flexible availability across a 7-day rotating roster including weekends, nights and public holidays
Current police check and relevant certifications where required
