Heavy Diesel Mechanic
FIFO from Perth | Albany-Based Candidates Encouraged
Not everyone wants to work for a giant mining company.
Some people prefer working with a smaller team, on a variety of equipment, where their experience is valued and they're trusted to get on with the job.
That's where Nexgen Crushing & Screening comes in.
We're looking for Heavy Diesel Mechanics to help maintain and repair our fleet across crushing, screening, earthmoving and haulage operations throughout Western Australia.
The Work
You’ll be working on a diverse range of equipment including:
CAT earthmoving equipment
Scania and Kenworth prime movers
Kleemann crushing and screening plants
Occasional Toyota Light Vehicles
From scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance through to breakdowns and fault finding, no two days are exactly the same.
Why Join Nexgen?
Full-time prospects available for the right person
FIFO from Perth or Albany-based opportunities
Flexible 2:1 or 2:2 rosters (FIFO)
Diverse fleet and equipment
Growing WA-owned business
Supportive team environment
Chance to build experience across crushing and screening operations
We're not the biggest company in the industry, and we're not trying to be.
What we can offer is steady work, a good team, and the prospect to be part of a business that's continuing to advance in the industry.
About You
Australian-recognised Heavy Diesel trade qualification (or similar)
Experience on heavy mobile plant, road transport and/or crushing equipment
HR Licence minimum preferred
White Card
Strong fault-finding skills
Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
Full Australian working rights
Albany Locals Encouraged to Apply
We're particularly interested in hearing from mechanics based in Albany and the Great Southern region.
While local work may be available from time to time, this role will involve supporting rostered projects across Western Australia and applicants should be prepared to work away as required.
