Casual Senior Kennel Attendant

About us – The Dog House Pet Resort is a family owned business that prides itself on being Geelong and the Surf coast’s premier boarding kennel, providing the highest standard of care and customer service to all our guests. Located between Torquay and Geelong.

About The Role

We are looking for a Senior kennel attendant to join our team on a casual basis. The role has the potential for part or full time hours for a high fit candidate.

You must be able to work a 7-day rotating roster including public holidays when needed. Shifts may vary from 7am-5pm and 7am-2pm. This is a physically demanding role.

Prior experience within a boarding or daycare facility is a must.

Roles and Responsibilities –

. Daily cleaning and maintenance of the kennel and accommodation

. High observation of guests (nutrition, special needs,



identifying and reporting to supervisor)

. Feeding, Administering medication and daily health checks

. Basic grooming (baths & blow-drying)

. Assisting in our enrichment program

Skills –

. Experience in a kennel setting

. Proven ability to work in a team / fantastic communication skills

. Motivated with solid initiative

. Exceptional animal skills showing a outstanding level of care to our guests

. Knowledge in dog behaviour preferred

. Willingness to learn and adapt

. Fantastic work ethic

.Some reception experience would be preferable but is not a necessity
