The Role:

As a Gawler Aquatic Centre Lifeguard, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety of our patrons, responding to first aid and emergency situations, and providing exceptional customer service. You will also assist with the daily operations and cleanliness of the Centre, ensuring a high standard is maintained.

Key Duties:




Actively supervising all pools and ensuring the safety of patrons
Promote the Watch Around Water principles to the public
Respond to first aid and emergency situations as per training and procedures
Attend team meetings and training sessions
Ensure compliance with secure work practices and WHS policies
Assisting with the effective operation and cleanliness of the Centre
Provide high levels of customer service and positively promote Centre programs to patrons and members of the local community
Handle cash accurately and undertake reception duties as needed

Certifications You Will Need (or be willing to obtain):
Provide First Aid
Pool Lifeguard CPR
Working With Children Check
Child Safe Environments/Mandated Notification

Desirable Qualifications:
AUSTSWIM or equivalent Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety Qualification
Pool Plant Operator
