About the Role
Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, the Short‑Term (Truck and Shovel) Mining Engineer will play a key role in delivering mine plans, designs and schedules that support the operation's long‑term objectives. Responsibilities include: planning across an entire pit; developing production schedules, dig and dump designs, infrastructure layouts, and rehabilitation and reshape plans; and working closely with operations to ensure successful execution.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams such as Drill & Blast, Truck & Shovel, Dragline, Rehabilitation and Services to deliver safe and effective mine plans and support operational performance.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, project work and planning activities that drive operational excellence and support the site's long‑term strategy.
About the Candidate
A tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mining/Civil or related field)
Proficiency in Mine Design and Scheduling packages such as Vulcan, Deswik or Spry
Minimum of two years of relevant experience
